The literal meaning of “CYBERBULLYING” is the use of electronic communication to bully a person,typically by sending messages of intimidating or threatening nature.
“CYBERBULLYING”or “CYBER HARASSMENT” is a form of bullying or harassment using electronic means. cyberbullying or cyber harassment is also known as online bullying. It has increasingly common ,specially among teenagers. cyberbullying is when someone, typically teens bully or harass others on the internet particularly on social media sites. Harmful bullying can include posting rumours, threat, sexual remarks, a victims personal information or hate speech. Bullying and harassment can be identified by repeated behaviour and an intent to harm. Victims may experience lower self esteem, increased sucidal ideation, and a variety of negative emotional responses, including being scared, frustrated, angry and depressed.
It is typically a ultimate control system to create a terror in the minds of the victim by making them feel uncomfortable or feel intimidate. It is not as simple as like someone is coming up to you in playground and taking away your books and belongings. This is often very similar to the traditional real life bullying but the only difference is that here the victim feel anonymous insult or suppressed. Basically here the level of damage of victim is much more than the real life bullying.
Some of the common reason for why the cyber bullying is so common and popular in our society is…… it’s make easier for the troller or bullying person to hurt someone and make them feel uncomfortable because their they don’t have a chance of feeling guilty and sorry about this. Because here their identity is not revealed to the victim sometimes and sometimes there is not any personal bondage to the victim . so the troller take it easy and light weighted. Next very common reason for being bullied is that teens don’t have enough courage to tell to their parents about this because they started assuming that if they tell about this then might be someone starts judging them.
One major term “INTERNET TROLLING” is a common form of cyber bullying over the internet in an online community such as in online gaming and social media. “CYBERSTALKING” is another form of cyberbullying or harassment that uses electronic communication to stalk people or victim.
I think everyone listen this famous line that…. “think twice before spoke”. But i would like to modify it like…..”think twice before write or send “. Just think about your parents that how they feel when they come to know that what you write and send to others.
“From next time use social media and any other platform wisely without hurting anyone , when you are online be safe and secure and let others also to be feel safe and secure.”
